Problem with Ufone SMS Packages Activation

Ufone LogoUfone is no more offering the message confirmation feature which in fact, is not appreciated by SMS lovers and even most of the mobile users. Ufone recently offered some attractive SMS bundle packages at very low price but now the network remains busy all the time. The purpose of taking back SMS confirmation feature was to control the load on server but they CLEARLY FAILED to do so.  Following are some common issues with Ufone SMS packages:

How to Use Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) Driver and What is Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)?

news_2260Last night working with my databases, I stuck when I needed to Use the Java Database Connectivity Driver. I am new with databases so, I tried my luck on Google. I found a great website related to Database Guides which helped me in guiding how I can use JDBC driver. Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) is basically a structure that helps the programs in order to access files from databases, flat files and spreadsheets.

While browsing, I found another great article about Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) which is the interface used by the programmers to be able to use databases using SQL queries. You can find a range of great articles for your knowledge.

Cellular Companies Restored Short Message Service (SMS)

Because of the current intense political situation of the country, PTA asked Mobile Operators to jam the Short Message Service for two days (Sunday & Monday) at least to reduce the simultaneous call connections. Now, after the Chief Justice of Pakistan is restored, it seems that the cellular companies has restored the SMS facility as well at least Ufone did (I am Ufone subscriber).

Ufone Offers Ghanta Package

Despite the fact that Ufone is no more focusing on customer services rather the the numbers (money) they earn. You must be thinking that why I am saying this. Most of you already now that Ufone recently introduced Unlimited SMS Packages and took away the delivery/message confirmation feature. Lets hope, we will find a better voice service which I doubt.

Mobile Subscribers Increased by 1.547 Million in February 2009

PTA has issued new number of mobile phone subscribers in February 2009 which after the decline in two months (November & December 2008) going upward with a change of 0.38%. The overall subscribers has increased by 1.547 Million as compared to last year 1.541 million growth in February.

Jazz SMS Bundle Offer – Daily 500 SMS for As Low As Rs. 2.79/-

After Zong and Ufone, now Mobilink Jazz offers 500 SMS to any network in Pakistan  for as low as Rs. 2.79/- and Rs. 3.38 inclusive all taxes. Ufone recently offered an SMS bundle offer and silently took back the Message Delivery Confirmation facility without informing its subscribers which is not fair at all. Lets see Jazz does the same to decrease the load from the network’s server or keep the feature intact.
