Activate Rules:

Line Rent for the 12 months in included in the price of Telenor USB stick. For first 12 months no line rent will be charged.
After 12 months the package will expire in the subscriber will be shifted to Data 3 price plan.
Voice can be activated without incurring any extra cost.
Price plan can be changed by the Telenor USB stick holder without any additional expense. For this the holder need to show the ownership of the older version of USB and SIM.

Terms and Conditions:

The Telenor USB Stick is available to all Pakistani Nationals having CNIC or foreigners having required credentials as per GOP/PTA regulations.

Any Telenor SIM (Prepaid or postpaid with GPRS activated) can be used in Telenor USB Stick; however Postpaid SIMs with Data Package 5 are highly recommended.

HSSE Examination System in Pakistan: a Dilemma

There was a time when education was treated as some thing sacred. People used to feel respected and important being a part of an education institute. But now the things have changed a lot. If we want to find out the reason there can be so many reasons. Just take a real life example.

My cousin was taking exams a week ago. During the exam he said there were many students who were cheating. They were having books and notes with them in their desks. And the teachers and invigilators there allowed them to do this. During the mid of the exam they get to know that inspection team is expected so, they took back all the books and notes form the students. After the inspection team was gone they gave them back their books and notes.

One of the student ask them to give his notes back the invigilator refuses to give the notes and told him that his notes have been given to another student who paid him Rs 500/-. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh alas. They are selling the efforts of deserving students for just Rs 500/-

If this is their conduct then how can we expect that the education is still can be treated as a sacred profession? Why this is happening? Where are the concerned authorities? What about the future of those who work hard and couldn’t get that much marks? We need to think about it. All of us because it’s our future that is going to be destroyed like this.

Lays Chips HARAAM: Propaganda or Truth?

Some days back I received on SMS and an Email saying that, Lays Chips (Masala Flavor) is HARAAM. On the back of the Lays chips “E631 Fat” is printed which means the oil of pig meat. And it further says that for clarification write this name on Google search and you will find the results. When I searched on Google what I found is that it is a Guinea pig fat that is being used for cooking purpose. But again there is difference of opinion. Some people say that it’s not an authentic information that E631 is really the pig fat.

Few days after this SMS and Emails I was going through the newspaper and I saw an advertisement by the Pepsi Cola Company related to Lays chips. In the advertisement it was mentioned that all the flavors of Lays are cooked in 100% vegetable oil and every ingredient is HALAL without any doubt. I must say that the concerned authority response was very quick and on time before this message have destroyed their image and cause a decline in market share. Following is the image came with the email showing Lays Package back with E631 code printed clearly.

To check, I bought a LAYS Masala pack and checked myself that there is no “E631″ code there. E627 was right there but was unable to find “E631″ anywhere on the pack. May be the above image is photoshopped/edited or of something else. But we can not say that all products with this code are HARAAM. Reserach shows that E631 can be generated from fish, brewer yeast extract, and from pig meat.

I will call this propaganda and there is no truth in it, at least I couldn’t find.

If It’s Cloudy, It’s Intelligent [Research Report]

I was reading the newspaper when I went through this article and found it really interesting to share it with others. Some people think that if its cloudy outside, then they feel dull and dumb. But that’s not what the research has proven. A new research has been conducted in Australia to find out how people behave, intelligently or dumb, when it’s cloudy outside?

The study was conducted by a team of professors at University of New South Wales School of Psychology. The study continued for two months in which different tests were conducted. According to the Professor Joe Forges, who lead the research, a little bit of sadness is good for brain to act efficiently. People tend to perform in a much better way in the tests conducted when it’s gloomy and cloudy outside as compared to the days when it’s bright and sunny outside. The reason found is that, when in a happy mood, because of bright and sunny season, people tend to loose their focus on their surroundings, and don’t think intelligently.

When in mild negative mood, because of the gloominess of the season, people tend to increase their attention to their surroundings and think and judge very carefully. So if it’s gloomy outside, don’t worry, the real genius inside you is awaken.

Though the juice is really nice but it’s not properly advertised. The television commercial (TVC) of Fresher Juice is backed up with strong celebrity endorsement (Mehreen Raheel) and perfect execution. Theme of the ad is nice but creativity is lacking behind. To compete in this market they must go for heavy advertisement. As long as the Al-Hilal website is concerned, it’s so dull and has nothing but a blank page with no information. I would recommend that they badly need to improve their website. So in this summer Freshen-up with the flavors of Fresher. You will like it!!

Transportation System in Twin Cities

It is said that if you want to develop a country, develop its infrastructure. And in terms of infrastructure what a country needs is proper transportation means. I travel every day on Islamabad Expressway (as it is now called), whenever I am on my way to office I see a lot of people waiting for buses and vans. And any route van comes in sight people start rushing towards it.

Those who get a hand on it are able to go and those who are left they wait for the next one to come. Most of the time the people who suffer from this are the old age people and ladies. And some time I see school children hanging on the back of buses which is really dangerous. I just want to ask can’t we improve our transportation system at least within city? What the government officials are doing? Can’t they see the misery of the people? That’s a big question and like you I am also looking for the right answer.
