My Experience with PTCL Wireless Broadband ‘On the Go’
PTCL Wireless Broadband ‘On the Go’ launched a while ago. I waited for their device that can be connected via the USB Adapters but I could not wait much. Yesterday I went to their office an bought the device that is connected via the PCMCIA adapter. The device manufacturer is Huawei and the Model of the device is EC360-EV-DO. I had to buy a PCMCIA Adapter first to be able to connect the Device with. I will mention the prices at the end the article.

After a great success of PTCL wire broadband services, PTCL now presents PTCL Wireless Broadband through PTCL WLL Netword based on world’s proven CDMA 2000 technolgoy surpassing the speeds offered by GPRS and EDGE technologies. You can now access internet anywhere. PTCL EvDO (Evolution Data Optimized) offers Wireless broadband (3G) internet access through PCMCIA adapters directly to the laptop (soon to be available through USB adapters – plug and play for desktop systems as well as laptops).

PTCL Announces New On-Net Tariff – One On-Net Rate

Once again, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the pioneer of telecommunication in Pakistan has come up with lowest on-net call rates effective from March 1, 2009. This new tariff is names as ‘One On-Net Rate’ and needs not to be activated. That means, it will be automatically set as default from March, 1 2009.
PTCL Declares Rs. 5.314 Billion Profit After Tax

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has published Rs. 5.314 billion after tax in the half year period ending on December 31, 2008 against a loss of 9.541 billion in same period of 2007.

Board of Directors announced earning of Rs. 1.04 against each share as compared to a loss of Rs 1.87 per share in the same period in 2007.
PTCL Employees Intimidate to Shut Telecom System from 13th May 2009
PTCL Employees have warned to close down the telecommunication system across the country if their demands are not met from 13th May 2009. PTCL Employees had been on a walkout for four (4) days because of the dismissal of their colleagues. The employees want their employees to reinstate their colleagues on the previous terms but the Administration refused to do so, GEO New Reported on Friday 20th Feb. 2009.
